MANILA, Philippines - The National Golf Association of the Phils. (NGAP) hopes to sustain the gains it made the last few years and further enhance its golf program as it elects a new set of officials in its biennial elections on April 23 at the new Philippine Ports Authority Building, Bonifacio Drive, South Harbor in Port Area, Manila.
The NGAP is enjoining all member clubs to send their respective nominees who can help the amateur golf body attain its goals through a strong leadership and sound development program. Nominees must be certified by the club.
Up for grabs in the polls, which also coincide with NGAP’s annual council meeting, are 11 seats for directors from where the president, chairman and other officials will be named. Regular member clubs are entitled to one vote for every nine holes in their course and a maximum of four votes.
Only bonafide members, those who have paid their 2009 dues, will be allowed to send their nominees and tap representatives to the meeting to vote.
Associate member clubs are not entitled to vote but may send representatives to attend the meeting and elections.
Deadline for nomination is on March 22. Certification of nomination/s and certification of representative/s may be sent to NGAP at 7065926 (fax). For details, contact NGAP at 5179778 or 0917-5607074 (Susan Facundo).
