In This Corner on Channel 4

MANILA, Philippines - Michael Landero’s first defense of the Philippine mini-flyweight championship serves as the week’s special presentation of Rod Nazario’s In This Corner over NBN-4 tonight (7-8 p.m.).

   Landero takes on Ruel Lagunero in the 12-round bout presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol, GSIS and Petron.

   Landero is from the Rod Nazario boxing gym in Parañaque, while Lagunero is from the Tiger City boxing stable in Mandaluyong City and rated No. 3 RP mini-flyweight contender.

   The title fight was held at the Casino Filipino in Parañaque City and serves as the main fight of the Pagcor Parañaque Royal Rumble presented by Rod Nazario’s In This Corner in cooperation with the Philippine Amusements and Gaming Corporation and chairman Ephraim Genuino.
