MANILA, Philippines - A five-bout special bannered by the slugfest between Eden Sonsona and Jhurriel Ramonal, await boxing fans tonight (7-8 p.m.) in Rod Nazario’s In This Corner over NBN-4.
Other matches featured in the episode presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol, GSIS and Petron are Jessie Tuyor-Albert Simbajon, Allan Tanada-Junnan Trinidad, Ronelle Ferreras-Jetli Purisima and Richard Olisa-Danilo Peña.
Meanwhile, Rod Nazario’s In This Corner in cooperation with Pagcor and chairman Ephraim Genuino presents the Pagcor Parañaque Royal Rumble headlined by Michael Landero as he stakes his Philippine mini-flyweight belt against No. 3 contender Ruel Lagunero.
The 12-round title fight is set on Feb. 27 at the Casino Filipino in Parañaque.
Fights start at 6 p.m.
Landero is from the Rod Nazario boxing gym in Parañaque while Lagunero represents the Tiger City boxing stable in Mandaluyong.
Ronelle Ferreras takes on Jason Rotoni in one of three supporting events that also include Ronald Pontillas against Ronel Esparas and Jhurriel Ramonal opposite Leonardo Doronio.
Allan Tañada taking on Johnson Alde, Jeffrey Cerna battling Jecker Buhawe, Arnold Dela Cruz clashing with Jonel Borbon, RapRap Ramonal meeting Aljun Ozabel and Zoren Pama fighting Michael Manguiran make up the fight-match preliminaries.
