San Agustin trims Miriam in WVL

MANILA, Philippines - Colegio San Agustin’s youthful spikers grabbed top spot in the elementary (competitive) division Sunday by holding off Miriam College in a battle of undefeated leaders in the 14th Women’s Volleyball League at the Saint Pedro Poveda College gym along EDSA.

CSA prevailed, 25-12, 25-23, to improve its record to 4-0 in the two-level event organized by BEST Center.

San Antonio de Padua College posted two victories – 25-4, 25-9 over PWU-JASMS and 25-11, 25-17 over St. Scholastica’s College A -- to sweep its five rivals in Group A of the high school (competitive) division.

Over in the high school (developmental) competition, La Salle College Antipolo A toppled St. Bridget, 25-17, 25-17, to seize command in Group B at 4-0.
