Tiu boosts dragfest bid with big triumph
MANILA, Philippines - Defending champion Jonathan Tiu of JCT-Blanche Racing pulled off a victory in the combined 2010 National Drag Racing Championship and 2010 Philippine Drag Racing Championship-Northern Series to revive his hopes for a record seventh straight crown at the Clark International Speedway in Clark, Pampanga recently.
Tiu turned back Ed Christian Go and Mato Tan of W. Autosports-Matonetics on his way to the final showdown where he clocked a fast 9.588 seconds to beat teammate Anthony Go, who wound up with a red light violation.
