SSC, SBC pace Martin Cup caging

MANILA, Philippines - Reigning NCAA titlist San Sebastian routed Arellano B, 85-50, while San Beda trounced Adamson, 71-66, to gain a share of the lead in their respective groups in the fifth Fr. Martin Collegiate Open Cup at the Arellano U gym recently.

The wins sent the Stags atop the heap in Group A alongside Mapua A with five wins apiece while the Lions joined the Adamson Falcons and the Jose Rizal Heavy Bombers at the helm in Group B on 5-1 cards. The Bombers downed the St. Benilde Blazers, 69-55.

Informatics slammed Centro-Escolar U, 69-49, and Emilio Aguinaldo College smashed AMA Computer U, 93-72, to remain in the quarterfinal hunt in the event backed by Molten and organized by Ato Badolato, Joey Lim and Kurt de Guzman with Aric and Lester del Rosario as commissioners.
