Galve, Abo head chess cast

MANILA, Philippines - Carmella Galve and Jonathan Abo lead the title chase in the MCC kiddies chess tournament beginning at 12:30 p.m. today at the St. Francis Square at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

The tourney features players 16 years old and below. Participants will be ranked according to their ratings and then grouped by fours. The champion in each group will advance to the finals set tomorrow.

Events on tap are the seven-under; nine-under; 11-under and 14-under.
