Miriam tossers turn back Poveda side

MANILA, Philippines - Miriam College blasted Saint Pedro Poveda College in two sets last Sunday to show the way in the elementary (competitive) division of the 14th Women’s Volleyball League at the Poveda gym along EDSA.

Miriam’s prodigious girls posted their second straight triumph, 25-5, 25-12, in the two-division, two-level competition organized by BEST Center.

San Antonio de Padua College also recorded its second win in the high school (competitive) level as did School of Saint Anthony and PAREF Rosehill School in the high school (developmental) group.

San Antonio de Padua whipped Angelicum College, 25-11, 25-10, St. Anthony subdued O.B. Montessori Greenhills, 25-22, 17-25, 27-25, and PAREF Rosehill outsteadied Southville International School, 25-23, 25-16.

O,B, Montessori Sta Ana, 25-0, 25-0, Assumption Antipolo d. Baesa Adventist Academy, 18-25, 25-22, 25-13, Hol Spirit d. St. Scholastica’s Westgrove, 25-18, 25-20 and La Salle College B d. Immaculate Heart of Mary, 25-23, 25-16.
