DLS-Lipa thwarts Claret in junior volley

MANILA, Philippines - De La Salle-Lipa topped Claret School-Quezon City, 25-15, 26-24, to enhance its title bid in the Toby’s Sports-Dunkin’ Donuts Junior Volleyball League.

Levin Dimayuga and Joshua Diaz starred for DLSL in its conquest of Claret in the tourney backed by Shakey’s, Mikasa, Asics and Equipe.

In Bracket A of the Girls’ Division, Colegio San Agustin clobbered MGC New Life Academy, 25-11, 25-12, behind the heroics of Samantha Torres, Rachel Pineda and Josephine Sarona.

Hope Christian ES, powered by Desiree Cheng and Andrea Ver, survived a three-setter against a feisty Woodrose School, 16-25, 25-18, 25-15, in the other game.
