FEU, Lyceum post 2nd wins

MANILA, Philippines - Cebuana Lhuillier-backed Far Eastern University needed another extra five minutes to pull off a 71-64 victory over I-Remit in the PWBL -Burlington-Biofresh Cup held over the weekend at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Lady Tamaraws, who beat Team Army in overtime in the opener, 81-74, again leaned on the red-hot shooting of Raiz Palmera, Karen Columna and Allana Lim to post their second straight win in the tournament backed LWUA chairman Butch Pichay, Rizal Gov. JunJun Ynares, Biofresh and Burlington.

Palmera fired 26 points in a follow-up to her 34-point performance the last time in the event also backed by Wilson, Everlast, Foton, Moldex, Atlanta, Nation, GSIS, PAGCOR, PCSO, Province of Northern Samar, Asics shoes and Molten.

Lyceum-Jaguars also notched its second win by overpowering Team Army of Col. Bay Pascual, 66-39.

UAAP champion Adamson, supported by Cong. Paul Daza of Northern Samar, registered its first win by downing PMI, 76-78, while UST-Global Graphics of coach Pabs Losinada outlasted Pascual-Lagundi, 66-59.

Games are telecast every Thursdays at 10:30pm on Basketball TV.
