FVR leads Mango Tee member-guest cast

MANILA, Philippines - Former President Fidel V. Ramos heads the long list of VIPs and business bigwigs playing in the 26th edition of the popular Mango Tee Invitational, the member-guest tournament of the plush Alabang Country Club in Muntinlupa slated Feb. 1-6.

Ramos is among the 768 Alabang Country Club members and guests who are set to vie for millions in prizes at stake in the six-day competition ranked among the country’s most popular member-guest events and co-presented by Pilipinas Shell and Smart.

Four variants of the new Mitsubishi Lancer EX jointly put by Citimotors and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp., and three golf carts (Club Car, Yamaha and EZ-Go) make up the package of hole-in-one prizes.

More than a million pesos worth of raffle items including a Yamaha cart, TW steel watches, two Philippine Airlines tickets to the West Coast and an Asiana trip to any destination in the world will be raffled off.

Also in the full-packed roster are Bert Lina of the Lina Group of Companies, lawyer Art Tugade of the Perry’s Group, Pilipinas Shell president Ed Chua, Belllevue Hotel owner Johnny Chan, Philippine Airlines president Jaime Bautista, Citimotors Group chairman Paul Ching, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. president Masahiko Uek and Lexus Manila president Danny Isla.

The Alabang officialdom led by president Dr. Boy Villareal and Caloy Coscolluela, chairman of the 26th Mango Tee, lead the side of the members bringing in their guest partners.

Rudy Project, Philippine Airlines, Carte Blanche, Golforce, Duty Free, Asiana Airlines, Outback Steakhouse, Coca-Cola Bottlers Phils and Business Mirror are the major sponsors of the Mango Tee.
