In This Corner

MANILA, Philippines - Rod Nazario’s In This Corner airs the title fight between Danilo Peña and Marvin Tampus for the Philippine super-flyweight belt tonight (7-8 p.m.) over NBN-4.

Presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol, GSIS and Petron, the showdown served as one of the co-main events in the “Quest For Glory” boxing card at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Eden Sonsona’s championship match with Monico Laurente for the Philippine bantamweight crown was the other featured major bout.

The boxing card was held in tribute of the late boxing manager and promoter Rod Nazario and made in part in cooperation with the weekly boxing show Rod Nazario’s In This Corner, the Rizal Provincial Government under Gov. JunJun Ynares and former Gov. Casimiro ‘Ito’ Ynares.
