World Slasher finals under way

MANILA, Philippines - Six entries each scored two more wins to remain unscathed with four points and lead the Group A finalists in the 2010 World Slasher Cup 8-Cock International Derby at the Araneta Coliseum.

Reigning 2009 Bakbakan 10-stag national derby champion RM Red Cobra Farm of Sonny Magtibay with Thunderbird’s Boy Tanyag poised for a sweep of the Bakbakan and the World Slasher Cup titles as they racked up 4-0 cards in the event.

Joining them at the helm are Mayor Jesry Palmares (JJTRC Cherokee) of Passi City, Iloilo, who will rely again on his Cowans and Flarry-Eyed crosses; Cockfights Magazine publisher Wilvin Sy & Co. (J.L.W. 1128); Ricki Reyes (Rian Colors Octagon BM); and 2000 Slasher back-to-back champion Peping Ricafort (PTK Yucatan). Stalking the leaders with 3.5 points are Thunderbird Winning Team members Boy Marzo (BM Bulalayaw Abenmach) and Karamba of Engr. Rhemy Medrano.
