AKCUPI heads FCI Asian branch
MANILA, Philippines - Dr. Jose Alberto Fernandez Felix, president of the FCI Spain, recently designated the Philippines, represented by the Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, as head of the FCI’s Asian branch.
FCI Spain, based in Spain and recognized by the Spanish government, is considered the most prestigious, credible and biggest intenational purebreed dog-registering body in the European community.
The appointment of AKCUPI, unprecedented in the history of the local dog-registering industry, was announced during the first ASEAN plenary session of delegates, guests and the newly installed management at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong.

Cruz, VP, AKCUPI; and John Irvin Uy, corporate secretary, AKCUPI, and Rogelio de Guzman, AKCUPI treasurer.
