MANILA, Philippines - The Diski Night, a kick off party for next year’s World Cup, will be held today at the Esplanade of the SM Mall of Asia.
Philippine Football Federation president Mari Martinez said the event will have three segments.
First is the establishment of Philippine football Hall of Fame, second is the recognition and handing of awards to special people in football world and third is the acknowledgment of individuals who have contributed to the growth of Philippine football.
PFF hopes to the continue giving these honors every year. The World Cup will be held in South Africa from June 11 to July 11, 2010.
PFF hopes that many of the football aficionados around the country will gather tonight as there will be a special number from government officials and other personalities.
