MANILA, Philippines - Close to 600 bets, including the country’s leading darters, will compete in the Manny Pacquiao P5 million International Darts Classic tomorrow at the Lagao gym in General Santos City in Mindanao.
Pacquiao himself is planning to join the tournament aside from gracing the opening ceremonies together with host city Mayor Pedro Acharon in the tournament that also drew players from Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and Filipinos based in the Middle East.
The event, backed by Fundador, Chris Sports, and Robson’s with Manila Bulletin and Solar Sports as media partners, offers P2 million in total prizes with the champion getting P700,000. The prizes are scaled down to the 64th placer.
