Tams, Red Lions kick off 'Sweet 16' finals

MANILA, Philippines - Far Eastern University and San Beda College usher in hostilities in the “Sweet 16” Finals of the 2009 Philippine Collegiate Championship against separate opponents on Nov. 23 at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig City.

The FEU Tamaraws face Arellano University at 2 p.m. while the SBC Lions take on the San Sebastian College-Recoletos at 4 p.m.

The winners will advance to the Round of Eight.

ABS-CBN will cover all the “Sweet 16” games live at Studio 23 with replay in the evening at the Balls channel.

The rest of the first round games of the “Sweet 16” Finals are:

Nov. 25 (Ynares Gym): 2 p.m. – Letran vs De La Salle; 4 p.m. Ateneo vs Lyceum;

Nov. 28 (The Arena in San Juan): 2 p.m. – University of the East vs University of Cebu; 4 p.m. University of Visayas vs Mapua;

Nov. 30 (Ormoc Dome, Ormoc City): 2 p.m. – Jose Rizal University vs University of Santo Tomas; 4 p.m. – San Sebastian vs University of San Carlos.
