MANILA, Philippines - Caloy “Bad Boy” Baduria tries to get even with bitter rival Zhang Tie Quan of China as they collide in the Colt 45-Universal Reality Combat Championship dubbed “Onslaught” on Nov. 21 at the World Trade Center.
The 5-foot-7 Baduria is raring to avenge his defeat to Zhang in their title showdown last year.
After briefy moving up to light heavyweight and winning over Cuban Remand Lazaro last July, the 28-year-old Baduria sought a rematch with the Chinese fighter, saying: “I want to prove something, and the only way I can do it, is to beat him.”
The pride of MMA Elorde is noted for his knockout punch but he has to come up with a solid performance to beat Zhang in their middleweight clash in the event supported by Alaxan FR, Globe Tattoo, No Fear Pony and E-Games.
Zhang, for one, has an outstanding mixed martial arts (MMA) record of 11 wins with a superior knowledge in submission.
Also on tap is the bantamweight encounter between reigning champ Justin “The Shocker” Cruz of Spike 22 Guam and former titleholder Mark “The Machine” Sangiao.
