Villanueva, Chuongco shine in ABC bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Paeng Villanueva of Atlanta Industries scored a six-game series of 1281 to rule Group I while Freddie Chuongco of Boysen Paints took the Group 2 plum with 1136 in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Buddy Segui of Supreme Steel Pipes turned in 1252, Hermie Prudente of ProActive Pest Control had 1244 and Walter Villanueva of Crown Pipes had 1240 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group I in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Totie Nuñez of Sika Phils. had 1068, Malou del Rosario of Hocheng Phils. submitted 1064 and Violy Magsakay of Firefly-Royu rolled 1034 to place second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Emerald Vinyl, Lepanto Tiles, Toto, Philflex Wires and Cables, Stone 2000 and ABC Phils., resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the Circuit Final Championship at the Playdium Bowling Center on Araneta Ave., Quezon City.
