Atilano virtual PPCC champ

MANILA, Philippines - The long struggle paid its price for Doby Atilano, who virtually captured the overall plum of the 2009 Philippine Production Car Championship.

Atilano virtually sealed the title following his eight consecutive first place finishes in this series, the Philippines’ only national championship organized by AAP and sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de l’ Automobile (FIA) - the Paris based organization governing all four- wheeled motorsports worldwide.

The series will yet wind up with three more races in the championship round set Nov. 14-15 at the Subic International Raceway.

Atilano, who’s backed up by www.myfreegas.com.ph, H&B Wealth Advisers and The Global Investors Center Philippines, has mustered enough points to claim the title with the big help of his chief tuner Ferdie Ong.

And he’s looking forward to formally claiming the overall championship crown with a bang.
