P60,000 at stake in Timex Run

-

MANILA, Philippines - A total purse of P60,000 plus loads of Timex watches and other prizes will be up for grabs in the “Time is Running: The 2009 Timex Run with coach Rio de la Cruz and Piolo Pascual” which fires off Nov. 15 at the Bonifacio High Street in Global City in Taguig.

The top three finishers in both the male and female divisions in all categories, including 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K races, will receive Timex Ironman Triathlon watches along Timex Heart Rate Monitor and latest Nike running shoes.

Twenty-six other watches will be raffled off, including a Timex Heart Rate Monitor and a Timex Expedition WS4, to all participants, now numbering to over 4,000 with a lot more expected to beat the deadline on Nov. 9.

However, listup is now centralized at the Nike Park at Bonifacio High Street, Timex Shop at SM North Edsa, and The Trion Towers Site Showroom at Fort Bonifacio Global City.

To ensure the smooth staging of the Timex-sponsored event, organizers said the field will be limited to 5,000. For details, contact the event’s secretariat at 703-1736.

Also on tap is a photo contest offering P10,000 and Timex watches.

Due to the big number of participants, the singlets have already been out for the first 3,000 entries along with a race bib and a timing chip. Those who wish to join even without singlets will be accepted and will get a P100 discount.

Aside from Pascual, a Timex watch endorser, a host of other celebrities are also expected to participate in the event, which also features high-tech finish line gadgets, including ChampionChips, a timing system for fast and accurate race results, a detailed RunPix performance analysis complete with graphic illustrations, and comparative results and top-notch action shots by PhotoVendo.
