MANILA, Philippines - The Singapore Slingers roared to their fourth straight win by thumping Indonesia’s Satria Muda BritAma, 96-72, in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) Sunday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
With Filipino import Al Vergara orchestrating the team’s plays, the Slingers got off to a hot start and took a 53-26 bulge at the turn and never looked back.
Kyle Jeffers led the team with 22 points, Michael LeBlanc had 18 points while Hong Wei Jian added 13 points.
Satria Muda BritAma’s Alexander Gordon Hartman scored 28 points followed by Rensy Bajar with 13 points.
With the win, the Slingers firmed up their hold of the lead with a 4-0 mark.
The Slingers battle the Philippine Patriots on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
Meantime, the Kuala Lumpur Dragons, getting a big lift from new Filipino recruit Rudy Lingganay, nipped the Thailand Tigers, 79-78.
