Hyundai i10 staked in Sta. Lucia Tour final leg
MANILA, Philippines - Aside from their final push for their respective home clubs in the team competition, participants of the concluding Luzon legs of the 10th Sta. Lucia Golf Tour early next month will also have three chances at a brand-new Hyundai i10 worth almost half a million pesos.
Both the third leg at Summit Point in Lipa, Batangas on Nov. 6 and the final stop at Eagle Ridge on Nov. 7 in Gen. Trias, Cavite will stake the fuel-efficient Hyundai i10s as hole-in-one prizes on designated holes jointly sponsored by Hyundai Automotive Resources, Inc. and Hyundai Global City.
In the awards ceremony on Nov. 7 at Eagle Ridge, one of the 200 players of the Sta. Lucia Tour will drive home a Hyundai i10 unit which will be raffled off.
Only three points separate the frontrunners of the team race – Alta Vista of Cebu and Rancho Palos Verdes of Davao – after the first two legs which they hosted. Alta Vista has 85 points while Palos has 82 with Eagle Ridge still in contention with 73.
The inter-club meet featuring nine clubs, developed and operated by real estate giant Sta. Lucia, is backed by Hyundai, Autohub, Wilson, LG Electronics and Philippine Airlines. Marriott-Cebu, Marco Polo Hotel-Davao and Bellevue Manila are the official hotels.
Alta Vista of Cebu is trying to match Eagle Ridge’s collection of four Club of the Year titles. Rancho Palos Verdes is going for its third.
The other clubs in the field are Royale Tagaytay, Orchard of Cavite, Summit Point of Batangas, Lakewood of Cabanatuan, Beverly Place of Pampanga and Lake Caliraya Springs of Laguna.
