Ranopa shines in PCSO slugfest

MANILA, Philippines - Kea Ranopa of Quezon City won on points over Johnric Labayuga of Mandaluyong in the 27-kg category to share the limelight in the October edition of the PCSO amateur boxing championship at the Cantada Sports Center in Bagumbayan, Taguig where 42 top amateur pugs saw action.

In other bouts, Rickty Quizon of Valenzuela City won on points over Marcel Apolinario of Tiger City (48-44) in the 48-kg category; Mark Anthony Lontayao of Taguig City won on points over Alex Cametel of Quezon City (18-6) in the 51-kg class division, and Jimmy Aducal of Tiger City stopped Daryl Gamboa of Taguig in the first round of their 54-kg bout.

 The event is presented by the PCSO and supported by Tanduay Rhum, Mapecon and LC Builders headed by Richard Ley.
