RMCHS chess slated
MANILA, Philippines - The Ramon Magsaysay (Cubao) High School Chess Club, in cooperation with the Chess Arbiters Association of the Phils. (CAAP), will hold a 2-in-1 Non-Master Rapid Chess Tournament Sunday at RMCHS Cubao.
Events on tap are the Rapid Chess with 20- minute time control and the Chess 960 (Fischer Random Chess) with 10-minute time control.
The two events offer a combined cash prize of P6,000 to the champion; P4,000 for second, P2,500 for third, P1,500 for fourth and P1,000 for fifth.
Category winners for Top Senior (50 and above), Top Junior (18-below), Top Kiddie (14-below), Top Lady and Top Unrated will receive P400 each. Registration fee is P300. Fee isP200 for for kiddies and ladies.
