Cangolf Open registration ongoing

MANILA, Philippines - One hundred eighty participants, led by the country’s top amateurs, have so far registered for the 10th Canlubang Open Golf Championship slated Oct. 14-16 at the Robert Trent Jones-designed Canlubang Golf and Country Club North and South Courses in Laguna.

Among those who have confirmed their participation in the three-day event are defending champion Tonton Asistio and national team players Jonel Ababa, Paul Echavez, Mark Fernando, Rufino Bayron, Dante Bicierra and ladies standouts Anya Tanpinco, Chihiro Ikeda and Sarah Ababa.

At the same time organizers said a number of berths are still open for those interested to play in the premier amateur tournament with registration deadline set Oct. 13.
