Pacman hosts P5M international darts tourney

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Manny Pacquiao P5M International Darts Classic will be held Nov. 27-30 with a record number of foreign participants expected at the Lagao gym in General Santos City.

Top darters from Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan, Thailand, and the Middle East have signified their intention to compete in the event offering a record P700,000 ($14,850) prize to the men’s singles open champion.

The cash prize, according to Tito Soncuya of the organizing National Dart Federation of the Philippines (NDFP), will be a major attraction even for American players as most major tournaments in the US offers only as high as $10,000 champion’s purse.

There is already a Team Pacquiao from the United States led by Puma signature player Robert Heckman, Chris White, Scotty Burnet, and US-based Filipino dart players who promised their participation in exchange for Pacquiao’s dart tournament sponsorships in the USA.
