Prizes galore in Quezon City run
MANILA, Philippines - Top Filipino runners stand to grab a bigger slice in the prizes at stake in the 42-K centerpiece of the first Quezon City International Marathon (QCIM).
The QCIM race manager, Executive Runners Club of the Philippines (Runnex) said a Filipino runner in the top 10 overall as well as in the top 10 of the local category can only claim the prize with the greater monetary value.
Runnex chairman Art Disini said the policy seeks to motivate the Filipino runners to excel against the tough competition expected from top-notch foreign entries.
