Over 6,000 runners expected at New Balance Power Run

-

MANILA, Philippines - Over 6,000 runners have already registered for the New Balance Power Run ... Raising HOPE slated Sept. 27 at the Fort Bonifacio Global City.

The events on tap are the 3K run/walk for cancer, a 5K, 10K and 21K.

Runners may still register for the 3K event, with a few hundred slots left, at New Balance outlets in Glorietta, Shangri-La Mall, Festival Mall, Planet Sports Rockwell and Planet Sports Trinoma.

“The number of individuals who signed-up for the event is just overwhelming. We’ve already hit the numbers to be able to fully support the projects of our beneficiaries and we want to thank the public as early as now for running with us to raise HOPE and awareness for cancer,” said Anton Gonzalez, president of Planet Sports, Inc.

The New Balance Power Run... Raising HOPE will directly support cancer awareness projects of Carewell (Cancer Resource and Wellness Community), Philippine Cancer Society, ICanServe Foundation and Natasha Goulbourn Foundation.

“The New Balance Power Run... Raising HOPE event will see a lot of running aficionados join because this is a venue for them to show their love for running, whether they’re a professional athlete or an everyday runner, and at the same time be able to support a cause,” said Gonzalez “Cancer survivors with their supporters will also be at the Power Run and will successfully cross the finish line,” added Gonzalez.

Finisher medals will be given to the participants of the 5K, 10K and 21K event.
