BEST Passerelle semis tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - Junior basketball action heats up as the 2009 Milo-sponsored BEST Center Passerelle NCR tournament semifinals unfolds tomorrow at the Xavier High School Gym in San Juan.

High school hard court competition starts 2 p.m. tomorrow as defending NCR Passerelle champion La Salle Junior Green Archers go up against Xavier Stallions for a berth in the regional finals. The San Beda Red Cubs tangle with the Antipolo Lady of Lourdes for the remaining slot in the regional finals at 3:30 p.m.

Last Sunday’s SBP semifinals saw archrivals Ateneo de Manila and La Salle Green Hills forge a battle for the regional title after both schools posted convincing victories. Ateneo thumped Notre Dame of Greater Manila, 72-33, while La Salle Green Hills A trounced Xavier School, 60-49.
