Binay national holds 3rd age group netfest
MANILA, Philippines - The third leg of the 2009 Mayor Jejomar “Jojo” Binay National Quarterly Age Group Table Tennis Championship will be held Aug. 29-30 at the Koliseyum ng Bayan in Pio Del Pilar, Makati.
Child wonder Jamaica Sy, 11, is defending the girls 12 and 14-under event titles, which she won in the second leg of the event supported by the Philippine Table Tennis Development Union (PTTDU) and Gatorade.
The two-day event organized by Makati City administrator Marjorie De Veyra and PTTDU president and Councilor Jun-jun Binay is expecting more than 400 participants from Makati and other places.
The competition features 12 events – boys and girls 10 and 12-and-under, boys and girls 14-and-under, boys and girls 17-and-under, men’s and women’s singles non-rank event, and men’s and women’s singles open.
