MANILA, Philippines - The unbeaten leaders of the 40th WNCAA will have easier assignments this weekend as they try to preserve their clean slate in the basketball and volleyball tournaments.
Only three-time defending basketball champion Lyceum (3-0) will have a tough foe in St. Scholastica’s College (2-1) at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at the latter’s homecourt.
College of St. Benilde, also toting a 3-0 card in Senior A, battles winless Rizal Technological University (0-2) at 1 p.m. while solo Senior B leader University of Asia and the Pacific (3-0) takes on Emilio Aguinaldo College (1-1) at 2:30 p.m.
At the RTU gym, nine-time volleyball winner Lyceum will go for its fourth win in as many starts against EAC (0-3) at 11 a.m.
Senior B leader Centro Escolar University (2-0) meets Philippine Women’s University (1-1) at 2 p.m. after the UA&P (2-0)-St.. Scholastica (1-2) clash at 12:30 p.m.
Lyceum walloped La Consolacion Manila, 25-18, 25-17, 25-9; RTU blanked San Beda Alabang, 25-14, 25-12, 25-15; and UA&P put one over PWU, 25-17, 22-25, 25-8, 22-15, 15-6, during last weekend’s matches.
