Don Enrico leads field in RDB Division 2 race

MANILA, Philippines - Top local galloper Don Enrico will meet four imported runners tonight in Division 2 of the first Ramon D. Bagatsing Memorial Racing Festival, one of two big events highlighting the week-long racefest honoring the late Manila mayor.

The winningest runner in the big stage so far this season, Don Enrico will be ridden again by regular partner Fernando Raquel when he takes on Miss Abby Kat (Karvin Malapira), Fairy Queen (L. Santos), Traditional (E. Racquel) and Tiwi Magic (Jesse Guce) in a 1700-meter race at the new Santa Ana Park in Naic, Cavite.

“We have a champion local horse pitted against four tested imports. So we expect a good battle in the long race,” said Manila congressman Amado Bagatsing, who graced the PSA Sports Forum sponsored by Pagcor, Outlast Battery and Accel at the Shakey’s UN Avenue yesterday.
