MANILA, Philippines - Letran and Arellano U hope to remain at fourth spot as the two take on Emilio Aguinaldo and St. Benilde, respectively, today in the 85th NCAA basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.
Bunched at No. 4 after the first round on 5-4 win-loss records, the Knights square off with the Generals at 2 p.m. while the Chiefs tangle with the unpredictable Blazers at 4 p.m.
Letran seeks a repeat of its tight 85-84 overtime win over EAC last Aug. 5, which owns a 2-7 (win-loss) card while Arellano aims to exact revenge of its 107-117 loss in triple overtime last July 31.
Letran coach Louie Alas said they would need more aggressive approach particularly on the defensive end to upend the Generals.
“We need to be more aggressive and focused in executing our plays particularly on defense for us to beat EAC again,” said Letran coach Louie Alas.
