MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Shooting Association (PNSA) and Capitol of Laguna Shooting Club Inc. (CLASCI) will hold a national open shooting tournament Aug. 22-23 at the CLASCI firing range at the Gov. San Luis Sports Complex, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
CLASCI is affiliated with PNSA and enjoys the benefits afforded to PNSA by the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee.
The course of fire is the same as that used in practical shooting events during the Southeast Asian Games for both pistol, revolver and shotgun.
The WA1500 of Europe has gained popularity in the US and other countries where practical pistol-revolver competitions are held because this course of fire demands speed and utmost accuracy.
All gun clubs and individual shooters are invited. At stake are 18 trophies and 28 medals. Shotgun and wristwatches are among those to be raffled off.
The Philippine Marines headed by Gen. Jonathan Martir and Gen. Natalio Ecarma III will join forces with other military contingents and the PNP team of Gen. Rolando Anonuevo.
