Healthway charity badminton slated

MANILA, Philippines - Healthway Medical, the country’s largest mall-based clinic, will organize the third edition of the Healthway Medical badminton tournament dubbed “Serve for Health” culminating in the championship slated Nov. 21 at the Zone in Makati City.

Healthway manager Daisy Garcia, senior sales officer Joven Alcala and public relations officer Diana Mangiduyos made the announcement in yesterday’s weekly PSA Forum at the Shakey’s Restaurant in UN Ave., Manila.

“The proceeds of this tournament will go the Pathways Foundation, an organization which helps intelligent kids who couldn’t afford to go to college,” said Garcia.

Leveling is set on Aug. 15, 22 and 29 and on Sept. 5 and 12 at 1-5 p.m. also the Zone located in Malugay street.

“Healthway’s annual badminton tournament is our way of reinforcing the company’s mission of supporting the ‘Living a healthy lifestyle’ advocacy through various programs such as sports,” said Carmie de Leon, Healthway Medical vice president for sales and marketing.

“We are thankful to our partners like AVIS, Gatorade, Alveo Land and Festival Mall for their support of this worthwhile endeavor,” she added.
