MANILA, Philippines - New Balance will hold a fund-raiser for cancer patients as it stages the New Balance Power Run Raising Hope on Sept. 27 at the Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Proceeds of the event, also held to generate awareness on cancer prevention, will go to the Carewell or Cancer Resource and Wellness Community, Philippine Cancer Society and ICanServe Foundations, groups which help cancer victims and educate people on how to deal and prevent the disease.
“As an organization, we wanted to create a positive impact in our community. And, as a brand that embraces the love for running, we decided to do something about it,” said Anton Gonzalez, president of Planet Sports, Inc., during yesterday’s event launch at the California Pizza Kitchen at Glorietta.
