MANILA, Philippines - The 2009 Magnolia Pure Water Karting Super Series stages its fifth leg this weekend at the Enchanted Kingdom EKart Track in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The event is part of the annual Enchanted Kingdom Motorsports Week that showcases exciting karting action this week and underbone motorcycle racing on Aug. 9.
“The Enchanted Kingdom Motorsports Week is intended not just an added spectacle aside from our superb rides but also to help promote motorsports and provide a different challenge for our karters and underbone riders,” said Enchanted Kingdom president Mario Mamon.
Current leader Joey Orduna hopes to keep his precarious lead in the ROK Overall against Ready2Race teammates Juha Turalba and Roby Benito in this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines and sponsored Magnolia Pure Water, San Miguel Corporation, Petron, Denso, Motorstar and Aeromed.
Even though he ended third in the Asian Karting Open, Orduna has amassed enough points to retain his hold of the top against Benito who emerged champion in the Formula 125 Open Juniors class and Turalba who also wound up third in the Seniors division.
