Milo junior tennis slated in Davao
MANILA, Philippines - Filipino junior netters mix it up in the 2009 Milo Junior Tennis Cup-Malaysia Edition for the right to represent the country in the 2009 Milo-Perlis International Juniors in Kangar State, Malaysia.
Regional eliminations get underway July 25-26 at the Ecoland Tennis Club in Davao City and will feature boys’ and girls’ 14-under, 12-under and the unisex 10-under divisions.
After the Davao eliminations come the South Luzon leg Aug. 1-2 at San Beda College Alabang, the Visayas leg Aug 8-9 in Cebu City and the North Luzon leg Sept. 26-27 at the Philam Homes Tennis Club. The tournament is aligned with the efforts of Milo to build champions in sports and in life. Since 1993, products of the Milo-sponsored Junior Tennis Cup have consistently brought honor to the country.
The regional champions in the nationwide preliminaries will compete in the Manila national finals Oct. 3-4.
The national champions of each division will form the Philippine team that will compete at Kangar State in Malaysia Dec. 5-9.
Other Malaysia legs are scheduled in Selangor Nov. 24-28, Penang Nov. 30-Dec. 4 and Langkawi Dec. 10-14.
