In This Corner pits Melgarejo versus Tumbaga

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine super-featherweight title fight between Aaron Melgarejo and Mike Tumbaga will finally be aired through the top rating boxing show In This Corner tonight from 7 to 8 over NBN-4.

Presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol, the 12-round fight served as the main event of the “Bakbakan sa Munti” boxing card.

Making the second defense of the crown he won over Dodie Boy Agrabio in 2007, the 23-year- old Melgarejo was a former sparring partner of Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.

The fight was promoted by Dante Almario of D.S. Alamario boxing promotions and In This Corner in cooperation with the city government of Muntinlupa under Mayor Aldrin San Pedro.
