Pacman-Antonio heads Big Event

MANILA, Philippines – Boxing idol Manny Pacquiao teams up with Patrick Antonio as they go up against the fancied pair of Gerry Ramos and Ferdie Buensalida in the NCA (National Cockers Alliance) Big Event on June 30 at the Ynares Center in Pasig City.

The blockbuster derby features some of the country’s top cockers, including Pacquiao, Antonio, Ramos and Buensalida, whose entries have clashed for top honors in the past, making the event a meeting of the best teams in the cockfighting circuit.

Antonio is on a win streak, winning 2009 NCA Cocker of the Year award and took runner-up honors in the NCA World Championship Derby last January.

On the other hand, Ramos and Buensalida remain as the most formidable team in the circuit today. They will be joined by Gov. Ito Ynares, Eric dela Rosa, Ruel Ricafort and E. Santos, Manny and Arman Santos, and the Firefly group of Rey Allas, Ernie Austria and Hessie Mallilin. Another group includes Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado and Lito Orillaza, Ellan Nagaño, Pete Hizon and Boy Mayor, Tonton Uy, and Pampanga’s prominent cockers Efren Canas, Jun Jingco, the Madlangbayan brothers, and Jet Fernando.

James Uy, Ricky Reyes, Bebot Roxas, Tony Tan and Tony Marfori are joining in the Big Event, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.
