No-cash, no-limit poker at Pavilion

MANILA, Philippines - Alumni of various schools, including Univ. of the Phils., La Salle, Ateneo, San Beda and St. Scholastica, are organizing a Non-Cash No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament for a Cause on June 27 at the Alegria Lounge of Manila Pavilion Hotel on UN Ave., Ermita, Manila.

Registration starts at 2 p.m., while first deal is at 3 p.m. The event is backed by Pagcor, which will donate cash prizes for the top three schools, Smart, ANIMO Magazine, Chivas Reagal, Absolute Vodka and St. George.

Proceeds of the event will go to the One La Salle Scholarship Fund, Kuya Center, LSGH Scholarship Fund, St. Scholastica Alumni Foundation Inc, Tuloy sa Don Bosco Street Children Village and 20 Intellectual Property Research and Training Institute.

The tournament is open to all alumni/alumnae, friends and guests. Participants are requested to wear their school colors, including non-alumni/alumnae friends and guests who are playing for the school of their choice. It will be a team and an individual competition.

Tournament buy-in is P2,000 + P500 (for food and drinks) and P2,000 for re-buys (up to the 4th level) and add-ons. Chivas Reagal, Absolute Vodka and St. George will be served to all participants during the event. The first 100 paid and registered participants will be given P2,000 in Non-Cashable Chips (NCC) each to be played after the tournament.
