Lakers-Magic title duel on HDTV

MANILA, Philippines – Cignal TV, the country’s first nationwide full high definition television (HDTV) service, will broadcast the NBA finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic beginning Game One at Staples Center in Los Angeles tomorrow.

The Cignal TV HDTV broadcast offers shaper images, more depth, superior video quality and digital sound with Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Cignal recently introduced HDTV technology to cater to households that already own or are planning to purchase HD-ready or HD television sets. It is also the first to offer the service on a nationwide scope.High-definition technology is a trend that’s fast gaining momentum worldwide – with a steady increase in demand in the US, Europe, Japan, and other Asian countries like Korea, Singapore, and now, in the Philippines via Cignal TV.

Subscribers can exclusively enjoy the NBA Finals along with two other channels in high-definition format – History HD plus a popular, high rating kid’s animation channel, in digitally up-converted HD format, all for P450 per month. 

Cignal TV also carries 21 top-rating entertainment and news channels including ABS-CBN 2, TV5, GMA 7, C/S 9, 2nd Avenue, ETC, HBO, CNN, Disney Channel, Basketball TV, Cartoon Network, AXN and PBO.
