Lady Falcons, Tams dispute No. 3 spot

-

MANILA, Philippines – Set to face either powerhouse UST and San Sebastian in the Final Four, Adamson and Far Eastern U decide which team to take on in the semis as they clash today at the close of the quarterfinals of the Shakey’s V-League at The Arena in San Juan.

The winner in the 4 p.m. match will meet No. 2 seed San Sebastian while the loser battles topnotcher UST in a pair of best-of-three series for spots in the finals of the league sponsored by Shakey’s Pizza and presented by Cherifer.

Adamson and FEU tote identical 2-2 cards. For live webcasts, log on to www.v-league.ph.

The Tigresses beat the Lady Stags for the second time in the conference last Sunday to sweep the quarters phase and clinch the top seeding in the Final Four. SSC settled for the No. 2 spot.

Either way, the defending champion Lady Falcons and the Lady Tams face tough rivals in the semis with both teams out to bring the winning feeling into the next round.

FEU, making its first semis appearance in the league backed by Accel, Mikasa, Mighty Bond and OraCare, will show up without guest player Tina Salak, who sustained an ankle injury in the Lady Tams’ 22-25, 18-25, 17-25 setback to the SSC tossers last Thursday.
