MANILA, Philippines - The ninth Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Philippine International Junior Golf Championships kicks off June 2 at the challenging Canlubang Golf and Country Club.
Some 75 players from the host Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Japan and Malaysia – handpicked for their potential – will vie for the top honors in this event organized by the Philippine Junior Golf Federation.
Up for grabs in the three-day competition using stroke play are the top honors in the boys and girls 18-21 special division, Class A 15-17, Class B 13-14, Class C 11-12 and Class D beginners’ 10 and under.
“This will be a very exciting tournament. We heard most of the foreign players coming here are winners and serious contenders in their respective countries. But while we welcome the strong competition, we also wish them to have fun in their play and stay in our country,” said PJGF president Boy Cantada.
