Sabater, Esguerra top ABC all events

MANILA, Philippines - May Sabater of Felport Mktg rolled 2022 pinfalls, beating Jed Tiongson of Boysen (2001) to rule Group I while Sonny Esguerra of Pro Active Pest Control scored 1783 to subdue Eugene Panaguiton (1741) of Stone 2000 to top Group 2 in the Architects Bowling Club’s all events of the 32nd anniversary tournament at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig last week.

Walter Villanueva of Crown Pipes submitted 894, outsmarting Sabater’s 858 in Group I singles while Tony Sabater of Ragojos Heritage Const. had 762, beating Bert Magsakay (747) of Lepanto Tiles in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

The Boysen Paints team of Tony Naval, Jed Tiongson and Dante Manglicmot rolled a combined 1787 to bag the team event. They bested Sonny Esguerra, Cynthia Tan and Boyet Libiran (1766) of Pacific World Bldg. Mgmt.

Nonoy de Jesus and Mar Quianzon of Philflex had 1231 while Joan Mendoza-Ritz Diaz of Boysen scored 1201 to place first and second in doubles in Group I.

In Group 2 Violy Magsakay-Jed Tiongson of Ragojos Heritage Const. (1049) finished first while Malou del Rosario and Dennis Jalandoon (1047) of Emerald Vinyl finished second.

Albert Ong-Boy Roldan of Supreme Steel Pipes (1047) and Romy Ochoa-Frederick Chuengco of Hocheng Phils. (1017) to place first and second in Group 3.

Meanwhile, the event, backed by ABC Phils. and Sika Phils., resumes at 1 p.m. today.
