Tan Ho cops 18-and-under net title

MANILA, Philippines – Jasmine Tan Ho further enhanced a promising tennis career by outclassing Shannin Olivarez, 6-2, 6-1, in their second straight title duel to capture the 18-and-under crown in the Head Junior Tennis Tour Satellite Circuit at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center last Sunday.

Unlike in her 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 triumph in the First Gen Juntaphil Metro Age Group Tennis Championships last week, however, Tan Ho flashed superb form this time to dominate Olivarez, dropping only three games to fashion out the win and firm up her claim as the top junior netter in the land.

The 14-year-old Grade 7 student at International School frolicked with her solid backhand and down-the-line shots that completely baffled Olivarez, racing to 4-0 and 3-0 leads in both sets en route to the victory.
