P50,000 at stake for top 3 in Mizuno Run at The Fort

MANILA, Philippines - Cash prizes amounting to P50,000 are at stake for the top three overall winners of the 15K, 10K, and 5K runs in the annual Mizuno Infinity Run slated at the Bonifacio Global City on June 7.

This was announced by Lovell Gopez, president of Masters Sports and organizer of the Mizuno Infinity Run. The top three overall winners of the 15K run will receive P5,000, P3,000, and P1,000, respectively, male and female; 10K winners will receive P4,000, P2,000, P1,000; and the 5K winners P3,000, P1,500, and P500. He added that 30 gift certificates will be awarded to the top finisher of the five age group categories in the 15K, 10K, and 5K events.

The age group categories are 12-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; and 50 and above male and female.

Jose Paolo Cagalingan, general manager, Master Sports also announced that Gatorade will have three energy drinking stations in the race route. Some 3,000 runners are expected to participate.

Sanctioned and certified by the Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association (PATAFA), the race is expected to attract the country’s outstanding members of the National Training Pool, as well as the growing fitness buffs from the various sectors of society. It is also expected to be attended by running groups and members of the four service commands of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Registration fees are P300 for 5K and 10K, and P350 for the 15K. All finishers will receive finisher’s t shirts. Registration ends on June 3. After June 3, entries will still be accepted upon payment of P400 entry fee.
