Howard heads NBA all-defensive team

NEW YORK – Orlando’s Dwight Howard has been picked for the NBA’s All-Defensive Team, getting the most votes of any player.
The winner of the league’s defensive player of the year award is joined by Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Chris Paul and Kevin Garnett on the first team.
Howard led the NBA by averaging 13.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks this season. He got 27 votes for the first team, beating out Bryant’s 24. (AP)
