Clear Men Future League elims end

MANILA, Philippines - The last two teams making it to the national championship of the Clear Men Future League will be known today on the final day of the Northern Luzon elimination at the St. Louis University gym in Baguio.

It’s the final leg of the qualifying series which determines the 10 teams advancing to the national finals to dispute the championship and the top cash prize of P200,000 in the reality basketball tournament to be aired on CS9 and Basketball TV starting in June.

Team Laguna and Nougat gained tickets to the national finals after finishing first and second in the Metro Manila eliminations held at Worldwide Corporate Center (formerly Star Mall Annex) on Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong last April 26-28.

The series had earlier qualifying legs in Cebu, Davao and Laguna with the qualifying winners earning P100,000 and the runners-up P50,000.

The national championship, gathering 10 teams from the five qualifying legs, is set to start Tuesday at the San Andres Gym in Manila.

In the national finals, the competing teams slug it out in a unique tournament that will not only test each player’s basketball skills and athletic ability, but also grit, determination, and will.

Their quest for the national championship will be documented in a 13-episode TV reality show, bringing not only highlights of the games but also delving into the lives of the participants, showcasing what it takes to be a basketball player.
